A note to the patients of Dr. Thomas McCrary:

Dr. Lenz, Sullivan and Kim want to welcome the patients of Dr. Thomas McCrary to our practice.  Dr. McCrary has practiced caringly and expertly in Tysons Corner for fifty years. Over that time, he cared for and touched the lives of countless people. We are honored to be entrusted by him with the care of his patients going forward. We will do all we can to assist Dr. McCrary’s patients in making the transition to our practice as seamless as possible for their continued care. When you call our office (703-938-6669), please let us know you are a patient of Dr. McCrary’s and we will be happy to assist with the transfer of your records and with the scheduling of appointments in our Vienna office (we also have an office in northwest D.C. if that happens to be more convenient). The “Contact Us” button at the top of this page can be used to reach out to our office for additional information or scheduling.

We want to congratulate Dr. McCrary and his wife Linda on their retirement, thank them for all their years of service, and wish them all the best in the years ahead.

Important information and changes to note for our patients with appointments.

Please read carefully.

  • Patients with flu-like symptoms (fever with either cough or sore throat, shortness of breath, muscle aches), patients who have come in contact with someone who is sick, or if they have been in contact with anyone known to have tested positive for COVID 19 in the past 21 days are being asked to reschedule their appointments. According to the CDC, symptoms of COVID-19 include fever with coughing and shortness of breath https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some required screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office for your appointment.
  • Patients are asked to wear a mask or cloth cover over their nose and mouth to their appointment. This should be left in place until you are in the treatment room.
  • Hand sanitizer is being placed on the reception area counters and in the treatment rooms for patient’s use while in our office.
  • Patients’ temperature will be taken with a non- contact thermometer upon arrival, if your forehead reading is above 100 you will be asked to leave, and we will reschedule your appointment.
  • If you drive to your appointment please call our office once parked and we will let you know when it is okay to enter the office. We want to minimize or eliminate the time our patients spend in our reception area.
  • Reception room seating has been minimized and seating spread out for proper social distancing. All magazines have been removed. We are asking patients to arrive at their appointment time and no earlier so that we can minimize or eliminate the time spent in the reception area.
  • We ask that only the patient to be seen come to the appointment. This may not be possible with very young patients or patients requiring the assistance of someone due to a special need or age. We understand this and ask that anyone must be accompanying a patient to an appointment also please wear a mask or cloth cover over their mouth and nose while in our office. Do not accompany a patient into our office if you have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID 19. We will be requiring that anyone who accompanies a patient into the office also have their forehead temperature taken by us using a non-contact thermometer upon arrival.
  • Patients who have appointments with our Hygienists for regular cleaning and exam will have their teeth cleaned and examined by the Hygienist. You will not see the Doctor unless the hygienist feels there is a need to have a Doctor check something that she has found during her exam. We are doing this for the time being in order to minimize how many people you need to interact with while in our office when possible. The Doctors will look at any radiographs or other images taken by the hygienist to check for issues while you are in the office.

We will continue to closely monitor all changes in CDC, ADA, and federal, state, and local health guidelines as they relate to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Our office has always followed the CDC guidelines for infection control in a dental healthcare setting.

Below are some of the additional procedures we have put in place:

  • We are encouraging both clinical and non-clinical staff to wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer even more frequently and even when working in non-patient treatment areas.
  • We are monitoring staff forehead temps by requiring all staff to have their temperature taken upon arrival and then once more mid-day when working.
  • We have instructed staff to stay home and not report to work if they are exhibiting any signs of flu-like symptoms (fever with either cough or sore throat, shortness of breath, muscle aches) or if they have come in contact with someone who is sick, or if they have been in contact with anyone known to have tested positive for COVID 19.
  • We are adding the additional frequency of wiping and sanitizing all doorknobs, handles, railings, and other high contact surfaces throughout the office multiple times a day, including entry points to our suite from common areas of the building.

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth and has them replaced with dental implants regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved.

Dental implants are changing the way people live. With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. For more information about dental implants or to schedule a consultation appointment, call our Vienna or Washington, D.C. office.
